The atmosphere in Sarang’s living room was calm yet filled with quiet anticipation. Taehyung sat on the couch, gently cradling baby Jihan in his arms, who was fast asleep, his small chest rising and falling softly.
While Sarang sits with Yeontan curled up on her lap, the fluffy dog is also lost in dreams sleeping peacefully, completely unaware of the buzz around him. . The room is calm, but an undercurrent of suspense runs through it as they wait for an important call.
Jimin paced near the window, his phone in hand, eyes glancing between the time and the people around him. The tension in the room was tangible as everyone awaited an important phone call . Jungkook leaned against the wall, arms crossed, trying to play it cool, but the anticipation in the room was infectious.
Jimin’s phone suddenly buzzes, breaking the silence. He quickly answers it, his eyes darting around the room as everyone listens closely.
"Hey," Jimin greets his friend on the other end of the line. "What's the news?"
A moment of silence passes as the voice on the other side delivers the answer they’ve all been waiting for. Jimin’s face breaks into a wide smile, and he can't help but chuckle at the irony of the situation.
"You won’t believe this," Jimin says, putting the phone on speaker. "He says Sarang and Yuna can live as long as they want. And the best part? The house is right beside mine."
Yuna gasps in surprise, her eyes widening with joy. “No way! Are you serious?”
Jimin nods, grinning. "Yeah, we can shift there anytime we want. How about two days from now?”
The voice on the other end agrees, and after exchanging a few more words, Jimin cuts the call. The room instantly bursts into chatter.
"That's incredible!" Sarang exclaims, her face lighting up. "Everything is falling into place so perfectly."
Yuna's joy is palpable as she claps her hands together. "I can't believe it! A house right next to Jimin’s? This is going to be amazing!" She looks over at Sarang, her eyes glistening with excitement. "We’ll be safe, and everything will finally feel settled”.
Jiwoon, sitting beside Yuna, leans forward with a smile. “I’ll stay with you both and help pack. There’s no way I’m letting you do all of this alone.”
Sarang beams at Jiwoon. “That would be a huge help. Thank you, Jiwoon.”
Jimin leans back, crossing his arms over his chest with a satisfied smirk. “I’ll check the house tomorrow, just to make sure everything’s good. But I promise, it’s going to be perfect.”
Taehyung, who had been quietly rocking Jihan, glances over at Jimin. “We’ll go with you. Jungkook and I can help inspect the place. Might as well make sure it’s secure.”
Jungkook, lounging lazily in a chair, gives a small nod. “Count me in. Anything for you guys . ”
“Great,” Jimin agrees, getting up from the couch and stretching. “We’ll head over tomorrow morning. After we check it out, we’ll help you guys with the move.”
Jiwoon joins them, her eyes bright with determination. “I’ll handle the kitchen. It’s going to be fun.”
Time skips
The kitchen buzzed with activity as Jiwoon, Sarang, and Yuna worked in sync, the comforting clatter of pots and pans filling the air. The scent of simmering food wafted through the house, blending with the warm glow of the evening. Every now and then, the women exchanged soft laughs, lighthearted despite the day’s tension, as they prepared dinner for everyone.
The kitchen was alive with the sound of clattering dishes, the soft hum of conversation, and the delicious aroma of dinner being prepared. Jiwoon, Sarang, and Yuna worked in perfect sync, their laughter occasionally breaking through as they chopped vegetables and stirred pots. The comforting routine of cooking together brought a sense of peace to the eventful day.
Meanwhile, the men sat in the living room, watching the scene unfold from afar. Taehyung leaned back on the couch, his eyes following Sarang as she moved around the kitchen, a soft smile playing on his lips. Jungkook’s gaze occasionally flickers towards Jiwoon, but he remains silent, deep in thought. Jimin, seated comfortably beside them, glanced between the ladies and his friends, his mind clearly occupied with more than just the dinner.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Taehyung finally spoke, his voice low but serious. “Jimin,” he began, turning slightly toward him, “did our men fix those bugs and cameras in the new house?”
Jimin, still watching Yuna in the kitchen, nodded without hesitation. “Yeah, it’s all done. Every room is covered. No one’s going to get in or out without us knowing.”
Taehyung let out a sigh of relief, his brow relaxing a little. “Good. That was the last thing I was worried about.” He paused before adding, “And what about the café? Do we need to make any changes there?”
Jimin shook his head. “No, I don’t think we need to fix anything there. The café’s layout works in our favor. We just need to keep some of our men posted discreetly—bodyguards, maybe—but nothing too obvious. As long as we’ve got eyes on it, we should be fine.”
Jungkook, who had been quiet so far, leaned forward slightly, his elbows resting on his knees. “And Minho?” he asked, his voice edged with curiosity.
Jimin’s expression darkened slightly, his voice lowering. “I’m just waiting for that bastard. Jiwoon told me earlier this morning that he visits the café every Monday, so I guess we can meet him then.” said Jungkook
Taehyung narrowed his eyes slightly. “Then we are going to meet him in two days . But we need to be careful. Minho’s not one to underestimate.”
Jimin nodded. “We’ll keep a low profile, but we’ll be ready. The moment he walks through that door, we’ll make our move.”
The men fell into a brief silence, their minds occupied with plans and strategies. The quiet hum of conversation from the kitchen filled the background as the women continued preparing the meal.
Not long after, Yuna’s cheerful voice broke through the tension. “Dinner’s ready!”
Jiwoon and Sarang followed behind her, carrying plates of food to the dining table. The aroma of the freshly cooked meal filled the room, and the men’s serious expressions lightened at the sight of the delicious spread before them. Taehyung smiled appreciatively as he rose from the couch.
Jimin’s usual relaxed smile returned as he stood up as well. “Finally! I was beginning to think you three forgot about us,” he teased.
Yuna rolled her eyes playfully. “As if we’d ever let you starve. Come on, sit down.”
Jungkook grinned as he approached the table, his eyes briefly catching Jiwoon’s before he pulled out a chair. “Looks amazing, as always,” he said, his voice soft yet sincere.
Jiwoon blushed slightly but masked it with a playful tone. “Well, you’ll have to work for your food tomorrow if you’re helping with the move.”
“Deal,” Jungkook replied with a smirk, sitting down at the table.
Taehyung helped Sarang set down the last few dishes, stealing a quick moment to brush his fingers lightly across her hand. Sarang gave him a knowing smile, her cheeks warming under his gentle touch.
As everyone took their seats around the table, Jimin looked around at the group, a sense of contentment settling in. “I have to say,”
Jimin raised his glass, catching everyone’s attention. “To new beginnings,” he said, his eyes scanning the group. “And to make sure those we care about are safe.”
Everyone lifted their glasses in agreement. Jimin, with his ever-present calm, added, “And to handle whatever comes our way, together.”
They clinked their glasses, a silent promise shared among them all.
Exactly “this might be the start of something really good. A fresh beginning, new house, new plans. We’ve been through a lot, but we’re all still standing.” said Taehyung
Yuna nodded in agreement, smiling warmly at him. “And we’ve got each other. That’s what matters.”
Sarang, sitting beside Taehyung, looked around the table, feeling a warmth in her chest. “I couldn’t agree more. This is exactly what we need. A fresh start.”
Jiwoon smiled at her friends, the tension from earlier conversations fading in the warmth of their shared meal. "And it’s going to be even better from here on out."
With that, they all dug into the meal, the light chatter and clinking of forks filling the room. Though there were serious matters to deal with in the days ahead, for now, they were simply enjoying the moment together, the comfort of family and friendship easing the burdens they all carried.
After 30 minutes
After a delicious dinner filled with laughter and light conversation, the men stood up to leave.
Jimin, Taehyung, Sarang, and Yuna stood by the door, bidding their goodbyes, the soft hum of conversation filled the space. The night outside was cool, with a gentle breeze drifting through the open door. Everyone was in good spirits, still riding the excitement of the good news.
While Jimin and Taehyung exchanged a few last words with Sarang and Yuna, Jungkook quietly stood behind Jiwoon, his dark eyes glimmering with a subtle intensity. His presence loomed close, and Jiwoon could feel the warmth of him behind her. She didn’t turn around, but there was an unspoken awareness between them.
Without a word, Jungkook leaned in, his breath warm against the delicate skin of Jiwoon’s neck. The touch of his lips was soft, almost a ghost of a kiss, as he pressed them gently against her neck. Jiwoon’s breath hitched slightly, her body reacting to his unexpected, yet familiar gesture.
His voice was low, husky, and intimate as he whispered against her skin, “I’ll see you tomorrow, beautiful.”
Jiwoon felt a soft shiver run down her spine as his voice washed over her. His hand slid gently around her waist, fingers barely grazing her skin, but the touch was enough to make her lean into him. There was a softness to his grip, as if he was both comforting and claiming her in the same moment.
“Don’t you dare stress yourself with packing,” Jungkook continued, his lips brushing the nape of her neck once more. “I’ll be back tomorrow to help you and the others.”
Jiwoon closed her eyes briefly, savoring the warmth of his presence. She found herself nodding in silent agreement, unable to form words. The connection between them didn’t need them.
Jungkook’s lips curved into a satisfied smile, his thumb tracing small circles on her waist. He pressed one last lingering kiss to the nape of her neck, his lips soft yet possessive, before slowly pulling back.
Jiwoon remained still for a moment, her skin tingling where his lips had touched. She took a steadying breath, feeling both grounded and lightheaded at the same time.
As Jungkook stepped back into the group, Jiwoon collected herself, her heart still racing. She turned slightly, giving him a soft look of understanding, and Jungkook smirked, the corner of his mouth twitching up in a way only she could notice.
Jimin’s voice interrupted the intimate moment, pulling Jiwoon and Jungkook back into the flow of the conversation. “Alright, we’ll be back early tomorrow. Don’t overwork yourselves tonight,” he said, looking at Yuna and Sarang with a playful smile. "And that means you too, Jiwoon.”
Jiwoon smiled, feeling a little dazed but composed enough to respond. “Don’t worry, Jimin. We’ll get things started but save the heavy stuff for you guys.”
Jimin chuckled, stepping closer to Yuna as he wrapped a protective arm around her waist. “Good. We’ll take care of everything. Just get some rest tonight.”
Yuna, still glowing from the news, leaned into Jimin’s side, smiling up at him. “I can’t believe it’s all coming together. I’m feeling like We’re really starting a new chapter, aren’t we?”
Jimin nodded, his arm draped around Yuna's waist .
“Yeah, we are. And this time, it’s going to be even better.”
Sarang sighed happily, glancing between Taehyung, Yuna, Jimin, and Jiwoon. “I couldn’t ask for better people by my side.”
Jungkook’s gaze lingered on Jiwoon for a beat longer, his eyes filled with a mix of tenderness and intensity, before he turned his attention back to the group. “We’ll make sure everything goes smoothly. You won’t have to lift a finger if I have anything to do with it.”
Jungkook silently whispered to Jiwoon who nodded her head in agreement .
With a final round of smiles and goodbyes, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook headed out the door. Jiwoon stood beside Sarang, still feeling the lingering warmth of Jungkook’s touch as she watched him walk away.
Jimin paused at the door, looking back at Yuna with a smile. "Don’t stay up too late. We’ve got a busy couple of days ahead.”
Yuna winked. "Don’t worry. We’ll have everything ready."
As Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook stepped outside, Taehyung glanced back at Sarang, his voice soft but sincere. "We’re going to make this work. You, Yuna, Jihan... you're all going to be safe and happy."
Sarang nodded, her heart warm with the support of those around her. "I know. Thank you.”
Taehyung carefully transfers baby Jihan into Sarang’s arms, placing a gentle kiss on the baby’s forehead. "I’ll see you tomorrow,"
Sarang nodded, her heart warm with the support of those around her. "I know. Thank you.”
he whispers to Sarang, his hand lingering on her shoulder for a moment before he turns to go.
Jungkook stands as well, his eyes lingering on Jiwoon for a second longer than usual. "We’ll get this done fast," he says, giving her a brief smile before heading toward the door and Jiwoon nodding her head in agreement .
Jimin grabs his coat, turning back to look at the ladies with a grin. “Don’t pack too much tonight. We’ll be back first thing tomorrow to help out.”
“Got it!” Yuna replies cheerfully as the men make their way out. The door closes behind them, leaving the women in a buzz of excitement.
Sarang gently pats Yeontan as she looks around the room. “I still can’t believe how everything is coming together.”
“I know,” Yuna says, already getting to her feet. "Let’s start with the small stuff. We can tackle the big things tomorrow with the guys."
They all laugh, the mood light and hopeful as they dive into packing. Sarang carefully puts Jihan down in his crib before rolling up her sleeves. “Let’s do this!”
As they work, the room is filled with the sound of quiet conversation, laughter, and the rustling of boxes. The future finally seems brighter for Sarang, Yuna, and their friends. A new beginning is just around the corner, and with the support of those around them, it feels like nothing can go wrong.
Tomorrow, everything would begin to change, but tonight, there was a peacefulness, a sense of belonging, that settled into the room. And Jiwoon knew she wouldn’t be facing any of it alone.

YEOJUN ‘S POV
In the dimly lit home office, the soft hum of Yeojun’s computer filled the quiet space. The room was lined with bookshelves crammed with files and documents, with a single overhead light casting a faint glow on Yeojun’s focused face. His fingers tapped swiftly across the keyboard, his eyes scanning the various profiles on his screen—Kim Taehyung, Park Jimin, and Jeon Jungkook. All of them had clean, normal backgrounds on paper: well-off families, academic excellence, and nothing that would raise any flags. Yet, there was something unsettling. Something that didn’t add up.
Yeojun leaned forward, rubbing his temples as the screen illuminated his tired eyes. His instincts never failed him, and right now, those instincts were screaming that there was more beneath the surface. He clicked through file after file, searching for the one anomaly, the missing link, that would crack their facade.
But there was nothing. Not yet.
With a heavy sigh, Yeojun leaned back in his leather chair, the soft creak echoing in the otherwise silent room. He stared at the ceiling, mind racing, trying to piece together the fragments of doubt swirling in his head.
"Something’s off," he muttered under his breath, drumming his fingers on the armrest. "Everything looks perfect, but why does it feel like it’s all just a cover?"
He swiveled his chair to face the window, the city lights of Seoul glittering in the distance. The night felt colder, heavier, as if the weight of his discoveries was pressing down on him.
"I need to tell Minho-hyung," Yeojun said aloud, more to himself than anyone else. His voice cut through the silence, bringing a strange comfort in the stillness of the room.
He stood up and grabbed his phone from the desk, dialing Minho's number. As the phone rang, he couldn't shake the uneasy feeling twisting in his gut. His instincts were sharp, honed from years of working behind the scenes in the underworld, and they were rarely wrong.
When Minho finally picked up, his deep voice was laced with curiosity. "Yeojun, what’s up? You found something?"
Yeojun took a breath, steadying himself. "Hyung, I’ve been digging into Kim Taehyung, Park Jimin, and Jeon Jungkook like you asked. On the surface, everything seems normal. They have perfect backgrounds, prestigious families, and clean records."
Minho’s silence on the other end of the line was telling—he knew there was more.
"But," Yeojun continued, "something doesn’t sit right with me. It’s like...they’re too perfect. There’s a layer I can’t see yet. It feels like they’re hiding something, something big. I don’t know what it is yet, but I can feel it."
Minho's voice, now lower and more serious, came through the phone. "Trust your gut, Yeojun. If it feels off, it probably is. Keep digging. We can’t afford any surprises. Especially not with them."
Yeojun nodded, even though Minho couldn’t see him. "I will. I’ll keep looking until I find what they’re hiding."
"Good," Minho replied. "And Yeojun… be careful. If they’re as dangerous as we suspect, you don’t want to get caught in their web."
Yeojun swallowed, glancing back at his computer screen where Taehyung’s face stared back at him. "I know, hyung. I’ll keep my distance, but I’ll find out what they’re hiding. I always do."
As the call ended, Yeojun placed his phone back on the desk and stood in the middle of the room, staring out at the city lights. A storm was brewing, and he knew he was standing right in its path.
He returned to his desk, fingers hovering over the keyboard once more, determination hardening his resolve. Whatever secrets Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook were hiding, Yeojun would uncover them—even if it led him straight into the heart of darkness.

BANGTAN'S POV
The Bangtan mansion was unusually silent, each member of the group gathered around the large oak table in the living room. Namjoon sat at the head, his face calm yet curious, while Seokjin, J-Hope, Suga, Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook waited patiently. The air was thick with anticipation as they exchanged brief glances, all of them aware that Jimin had something important to share.
Jimin, standing in front of them, took a deep breath, his eyes scanning the room before he spoke.
"I have something to tell you all," Jimin began, his voice soft but filled with determination. "I’m going to propose to Yuna. I want to marry her and have our engagement as soon as possible."
A moment of silence followed his words, then the room erupted in cheers and applause. Seokjin, being the eldest, was the first to speak.
"Finally! About time you made it official!" Seokjin teased with a wide grin, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "But before you propose, we all want to meet Yuna properly."
Namjoon nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we've seen her around, but a proper introduction is long overdue."
Jimin smiled, slightly embarrassed by all the attention but clearly happy. "I know, I know. I wanted it to be a surprise, but you’re right. You all should meet her properly."
Taehyung, who had been quietly listening, smiled and leaned forward. "Why don’t we meet at Sarang’s café?" he suggested. His eyes softened as he mentioned the place. "Not only can you all meet Yuna, but Sarang and Jiwoon too. It’ll be nice for everyone to be together."
Jungkook, sitting beside him, raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on his lips. " Jiwoon and Sarang, huh? Are you trying to arrange a triple date, hyung ?"
Taehyung chuckled, shaking his head. "It’s not like that. They are all best friends. Besides, the café is the perfect spot for us all to relax and get to know everyone better. It’s peaceful, intimate."
Suga leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, but there was a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Sounds like a good plan. We haven’t all hung out in a while, and it’ll be interesting to see how Jimin handles introducing Yuna."
J-Hope nodded enthusiastically. "I’m in. I’ve always liked the vibe at Sarang’s café. Plus, this is Jimin’s big moment. We can’t miss it."
Jimin, though overwhelmed by the support, looked relieved. "Thanks, guys. Yuna means a lot to me, and I want her to feel comfortable with all of you."
Seokjin clapped Jimin on the shoulder. "Don’t worry. We’ll behave—mostly. Just don’t get too nervous when we start grilling her."
They all laughed, easing the tension in the room.
Namjoon stood up, clapping his hands together. "Alright then, it’s settled. We’ll meet at Sarang’s café. Let’s make this a celebration not just for Jimin and Yuna, but for the entire family."
Taehyung smiled to himself, his mind briefly drifting to thoughts of Sarang. He was happy for Jimin, but the idea of spending more time with her and everyone else made the day even better.
As the meeting wrapped up, the Bangtan members stood, their spirits lifted. It wasn’t just Jimin’s announcement that brought them joy—it was the sense of togetherness, of being part of something bigger than themselves.
And soon, they’d share that with Yuna, and perhaps even Sarang.
Few minutes later
In the large living room of the Bangtan mansion, the atmosphere is light, a rare but welcome change. Everyone is lounging around after Jimin’s earlier announcement, basking in the brief moment of peace. Taehyung, who had been quietly observing, suddenly breaks the silence with a suggestion.
"We need help," Taehyung says, leaning forward, a gleam of mischief in his eyes. "Someone has to play the role of a house owner."
Immediately, all eyes in the room snap toward J-Hope. The playful smirks on their faces make it clear that everyone is in on the joke. Jin barely contains his laughter, while Jimin’s lips twitch as he tries not to burst out.
J-Hope, sitting in his chair, feels the growing tension and fidgets. His eyes widen, realizing what’s coming. "Hey, guys, I can’t do it. You can’t be serious!"
Suga, as calm and deadpan as ever, cocks an eyebrow. "Why not? We’ve heard you brag a thousand times about being a brilliant actor. Should’ve been in dramas by now. Time to show us what you’ve got."
Jin can’t hold it in anymore. He throws his head back and laughs so hard he nearly falls off the couch, clutching his stomach. "He’s right! Remember when you acted like you were a millionaire just to get out of paying the bill that one time?"
The others snicker. Jungkook, Yoongi, and Taehyung exchange knowing glances, clearly enjoying J-Hope’s discomfort. Even Jimin, who’s usually the most composed, can’t hide his amusement.
"Come on, Hyung!" Jungkook chimes in, grinning mischievously. "Don’t tell us you’re scared. You’re always saying how acting is in your blood."
"No, no, no! I can’t do this!" J-Hope exclaims, standing up and waving his hands frantically. "I’m not that kind of actor. This isn’t my thing, seriously!"
But his protests only fuel the group’s determination. Taehyung leans in with a smirk. "Hyung , this is your moment. A real stage performance in front of your favorite audience—us."
J-Hope backs away, looking for an escape route. "You guys are insane! I’m not doing this!"
Seeing the panic in his eyes, Jin laughs even harder. "Oh, this is too good!" he gasps, wiping tears from his eyes.
J-Hope looks around at his so-called friends, realizing there’s no way out. "Nope, I’m out of here!" he yells, turning and making a break for the hallway.
"Get him!" Jimin shouts, already up and sprinting after him. Taehyung and Jungkook immediately join the chase, their footsteps thundering down the hall. Suga stays seated but watches the chaos unfold with a rare smirk tugging at his lips.
J-Hope, with the agility of someone fighting for his life, zigzags through the mansion, trying to evade his friends. "You’ll never catch me!" he yells over his shoulder, a mix of laughter and panic in his voice.
"You’re too slow!" Jungkook calls out, speeding up as the group barrels down the hallway.
Behind them, the sound of laughter echoes, filling the mansion with a warmth it hadn’t seen in years. Even the maids, who had been quietly working nearby, peek around corners, smiling at the sight of their masters acting like children. The guards, stationed at the gates, exchange amused glances, hearing the commotion inside.
The mansion echoed with the sounds of pure joy — the laughter of the Bangtan members filled every corner, from the grand halls to the hidden corridors. Maids and guards, who had been going about their duties, paused to watch the playful chaos unfold. A few even exchanged smiles with one another, happy to see their masters in such high spirits, just like the old days.
J-Hope dodges around a corner, nearly slipping on the polished floor. "You guys are crazy!" he shouts again, but there’s a grin on his face now, the laughter catching up with him.
Taehyung, never one to give up easily, turns to the others. "Surround him! No escape!"
But just as the group closes in, J-Hope pulls a dramatic move, diving over the couch in the living room, landing in a heap on the other side. Jin, who’s been laughing this whole time, nearly collapses from the sight.
"I give up!" J-Hope gasps, breathless from running. "I’ll do it! Just stop chasing me!"
Everyone bursts into laughter, collapsing onto the furniture. The Bangtan mansion, for the first time in what feels like years, is alive with joy. The maids chuckle quietly to themselves as they pass through the hallway, and the guards at the doors share knowing smiles.
As they all catch their breath, Suga leans back in his chair, the ghost of a smile still on his face. "That’s more like it. A little chaos to keep us young."
Namjoon , leaning against the wall, caught his breath and shook his head with a grin. "This… this is what we needed. Feels like we’re back to the good old days."
Suga, a rare smile on his lips, nodded in agreement, still amused by J-Hope’s desperate escape attempts. "Yeah, just like a few years ago.”
J-Hope, lying sprawled on the floor, sighs in defeat. "You guys are the worst."
Taehyung chuckles, patting J-Hope on the back. "You love us."
"Yeah, yeah," J-Hope mutters, rolling his eyes. "Just wait till it’s your turn."
As the laughter slowly faded into the background, the Bangtan members settled back down, still grinning, the warmth of their camaraderie and shared joy spreading throughout the mansion. Even the maids and guards, smiling quietly to themselves, felt the impact of the moment.
The Bangtan mansion, after so much turmoil, was alive with happiness once again.
Despite the madness of their lives, at this moment, they’re just a group of frien
ds, finding joy in the simple act of teasing one another.
